Policies - Principles

What HCH stands for.

We are against:

  • $30 million cuts to funding.

  • Population based funding

  • People being dumped off waiting lists.

  • Asset stripping – land sales.

  • Contracting out services resulting in job losses and the lowering of standards in order to meet costs.

We are for:

  • Adequately funded health system, adequate care and sufficient number of professionals.

  • Free health care.

  • The best use of $$.

  • Open & democratic decision making in health care.

  • Free GP visits.

  • Free dental care.

  • Treatment & operations for more conditions

Current overseas models have proven that this level of health care is both possible and sustainable.
